Latics Yobbos Escape Jail

Certain types could argue that anyone celebrating a goal whilst sitting in the opponent’s area of the ground, incurring their wrath, deserves a punch in the chops. Perhaps they do, but these punches should be served in a sterile environment to prevent infection, and be administered by licensed FA Premier League Punchers wearing rubber gloves. What we do not want, is slavering, bellowing sub-humans climbing over seats, women and children, wildly swinging pie-clutching fists in the name of retribution.

Aside from this ripping away of innocence from horrified onlooking children, this behaviour is symptomatic of a developing culture so brain damaged through repeated viewings of Big Brother, that violence is the only option in the face of provocation.

It was disappointing to see three numb-nuts escaping jail after their involvement in the East Stand fracas initiated by Yossi Benayoun’s winner for Liverpool at the JJB last season because they pleaded guilty and were in employment.

Setanta are always on the look-out to nick a few viewers from SKY, we should chain these hooligan bastards up in the centre-circle and flay the skin from their bones with barbed wire (making the children look-away first of course) for Setanta to broadcast before live games, and for Alan Hansen to ruminate over on MOTD whilst Lawro cracks a funny joke that nobody really understands.

And the morons at Wigan Athletic should re-vamp their ticketing system to prevent away fans getting into the home end in such significant numbers. It can’t be that hard, can it?

Ah, fight fire with fire, and speak to the yobbos in a language they understand.

They might not be in employment for long anyway, not if I was their boss, does that mean they get thrown in jail when they're sacked?

Did you sit through the case?

Have you seen all the evidence and provacation?

Stick to football you joker.

You ought to be ashamed of yourself writing an article like that. Call yourself a Latics supporter? - Pathetic.
The hierarchy at the JJB and the Police should both do their jobs properly. We are told in no uncertain terms that any away supporters found in the home sections of the ground will be ejected. Well firstly they shouldn't get in there in the first place; it wouldn't be rocket science detecting these 'supporters' and marking them on the database. If they do slip through the first time the Police and Stewards should act quickly immediately they make their presence known - straight in to the 'celebrating' supporters and straight out with them. They should also have action taken against them and at the very least they should never get Latics tickets though the same source again.
It is too easy for the Police and Stewards to sit back and do nothing until the frustrated home supporters make their feelings known (alleged Yobs or not)!

There was plenty of provocation going on after the goal was scored, but no matter how intense this provocation is, it doesn't justify violence.

The second poster is obviously a football hooligan who thinks it's right to hit other people. Nice.

I actually found this quite funny. Some serious issues overlaid with over-the-top punishments.

The writer obviously loves latics but it seems some people cant take any criticism of the club or their fans. And as for fans 'taking matters into their own hands' as somebody put it cos the police didnt eject the liverpool fans, are you joking? Starting a punch up cos someone is celebrating a goal against latics? Grow up.

Someone says what they feel for the good of the club and they get lambasted for it, seemingly from supporters of hooliganism.

We don't want hooligans at our club, stay away
